Mike McKenna

Mike joined VenuesLive, a national venue management and catering business, in 2017 as CEO WA, to open and operate Optus Stadium on behalf of the WA Government. Since then, he has led a team of 110 permanent and 3,500 casual staff who are responsible for securing content, selling tickets, providing food and beverage options and safely delivering a wide range of sporting, entertainment, business and community events at Perth’s premier entertainment destination.

Mike has a commercial and marketing background in consumer product, professional services and sporting organisations. In his previous role at Cricket Australia he was responsible for designing and delivering the mens and womens Big Bash Leagues.

He also serves on the board of the Tourism Council of WA.
