Brian Gard

Brian Gard has extensive experience in safety and health management, currently serving as Director of Safety and Health at National Heritage Academies since May 2011, after holding the position of Manager of Safety and Health. Brian is also a member of the Governor's School Safety Task Force for the State of Michigan from June 2018 to June 2025. Additionally, Brian is the President of CommTac Solutions LLC, which has been providing life safety training since its establishment in 2006. Prior experience includes serving as a Police Officer with the Grand Rapids Police Department from May 1999 to May 2011, where responsibilities included participation in a full-time tactical team and development of training programs. Brian holds a Master of Management degree from Aquinas College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Western Michigan University.
