Leah Nixon

Leah Nixon has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles in communications and marketing. Leah is currently working as the Director of Communications at National Heritage Academies since October 2017. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Communications at Grand Rapids Community College from April 2013 to October 2017. Before that, they worked at Ferris State University in various roles, including Director of Marketing Client Services, Interim Director of Marketing Client Services, and Assistant Director of News Services. Leah also gained experience as a Reporter at The Big Rapids Pioneer from 2004 to 2005 and as a Freelance Writer at Ocala Magazine from 2003 to 2004. Starting their career at The Big Rapids Pioneer as a Community Editor from 2000 to 2003, Leah Nixon has a strong background in communications and journalism.

Leah Nixon completed their Master's in Business Administration from Ferris State University in 2008. Prior to that, they graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Central Michigan University in 2000.
