Sarah Montpas

Sarah Montpas has extensive experience in education, particularly in English Language Arts (ELA). Currently serving as ELA Manager, ELA Team Lead, and ELA Curriculum Specialist at National Heritage Academies since November 2014, Sarah previously held positions at Detroit Service Learning Academy as an ELA Teacher and ELA Teacher Coach from August 2008 to October 2014. Prior roles include Curriculum Consultant at The Center for Charter Schools at Central Michigan University and 8th Grade Reading Intervention Teacher and Department Chair at Flint Community Schools. Sarah's teaching career began at the International Academy of Flint from August 2000 to June 2006. Educational credentials include an Ed. Specialist degree in K-12 Curriculum and Instruction from Wayne State University, a Master's degree in American Culture from the University of Michigan, a Master's degree in Teaching-Elementary Education from American University, and a Bachelor's degree in English/Theater/Communications from the University of Michigan.
