Christian Jerome

Christian Jerome is a seasoned research psychologist with extensive experience in human factors and transportation safety. Currently at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) since October 2011, Christian manages a research program focused on developing guidelines for connected vehicle interfaces to enhance driver safety by minimizing distractions. Previous roles include acting Managing Director at the U.S. Department of Transportation's Joint Program Office, Associate Director at the U.S. Department of Education during a fellowship, and Human Factors Advisory Scientist at Strategic Analysis Incorporated. Christian holds a Ph.D. in Applied Experimental and Human Factors Psychology and has contributed to various significant projects across diverse organizations, emphasizing human performance and safety in transportation systems.
