Dee Williams has extensive experience in vehicle safety research and regulatory compliance, currently serving as the Deputy Associate Administrator in the Office of Vehicle Safety Research at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) since October 2016. Previously, Dee held significant leadership roles within the NHTSA, including Acting Director of Vehicle Crash Avoidance & Electronic Control Research, focusing on advancing motor vehicle safety technologies and crash avoidance systems. Prior experience includes positions at the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, where oversight of strategic planning and compliance initiatives were key responsibilities, and roles at CTIA managing wireless safety education programs and research coordination. Dee holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Legal Studies, and Sociology from Susquehanna University and is pursuing a Master of Science in National Resource Strategy from the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy.
