Erin Hutter is a skilled biomechanics research engineer with extensive experience in the field of mechanical engineering. Currently serving at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) since October 2019, Erin also owns Creative Technical Solutions since April 2015. Previous roles include research scientist at the Transportation Research Center Inc. from January 2018 to October 2019 and research engineer at The Ohio State University from March 2014 to March 2015, where involvement in a clinical study for total knee replacement patients showcased expertise in IRB approval, patient recruitment, and clinical result interpretation. Erin holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University, complemented by a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in the same field. Notable academic work includes a dissertation on surgical techniques in knee arthroplasty and significant teaching contributions during graduate studies. Prior to academic roles, Erin worked as a test engineer at Honda R&D Americas, Inc. from March 2002 to August 2005.
