Enrique Cazares-Navarro

Enrique Cazares-Navarro, MD, MS is currently the National Mentorship Chair at The Latino Medical Student Association. Enrique also serves as the Midwest Regional Mentorship Co-chair. Enrique is a Course assistant for case-based medical Spanish elective at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, where Enrique is also the Co-president of the LMSA chapter. Enrique is involved in various initiatives and scholarship programs promoting diversity and health education. Enrique has an MD from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, an MS in Community Health and Prevention Research from Stanford University School of Medicine, and a BS in Biology from California State University, Fresno.

National Hispanic Health Foundation

The National Hispanic Health Foundation (NHHF) (501c3) was established in 1994 in Washington, DC as the National Hispanic Medical Foundation as the philanthropic arm of the National Hispanic Medical Association. The mission of the Foundation is to support educational and research activities to improve the health of Hispanics. In 2004, NHHF established its National Hispanic Health Professional Student Scholarship Program and held its first Gala in New York City which has awarded over $1.740M in scholarships to over 336 outstanding Hispanic health professional students. In 2005, NHHF established its Corporate Advisory Board to provide input to NHHF programs, meeting twice a year with the NHHF Board of Directors. In 2021 we established the National Center for Hispanic Health Research to expand Latino physician mentoring and participation in clinical research.
