Markeya Martin

Markeya Martin serves as an Education Specialist at the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization since May 2021, after holding the position of Coordinator in Mission Areas at The ALS Association from December 2018 to May 2021, where program development and execution were essential. Prior experience includes a role as Grant Coordinator at The Beacon Institute, where relationships with grant funders and community partners were established, and assistance in healthcare outcomes research as a Visiting Scholar at Northwell Health. Earlier experience at The Beacon Institute involved coordinating educational and membership programs, while roles at Hofstra University included ensuring resident safety and policy enforcement. Markeya began their career as a Teacher's Assistant at Miatta's Daycare and gained customer service experience at Starbucks. Markeya holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Community Health and Preventive Medicine from Hofstra University, completed in 2016.
