Thomas Garda

Housing Policy Fellow at National Housing Trust

Thomas Garda is currently serving as a Housing Policy Fellow at the National Housing Trust since August 2024. Thomas attained both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Public Policy from the University of Maryland, where studies were focused on public policy with a minor in global poverty. Previous experience includes a Data Intern position at the U.S. Fire Administration, where responsibilities involved geocoding NFIRS data and conducting analysis on FEMA/USFA programs. Additionally, as a Housing Intern at Housing Initiative Partnership, Inc., Thomas contributed to grant writing and project development, and engaged with residents through various services. Earlier experience as a Housing Intern at Bergen County United Way involved working with stakeholders in the affordable housing construction process. Thomas's foundational education was completed at Bergen County Technical High School, focusing on Culinary Science.
