Olympia Friday is a seasoned marketing and digital engagement professional with extensive experience in higher education and community-focused organizations. Currently serving as the Digital Engagement and Marketing Manager at the National Humanities Center since April 2017, Olympia is responsible for developing and executing innovative digital marketing strategies to enhance public engagement and educational programs. Previous roles include serving as a member and chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force at AMA Triangle and leading community relations as VP of Community Relations for the organization. Olympia's background includes significant roles at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Delaware State University, where skills in web and social media management were honed. Education includes a Master's degree in Technical & Professional Communication from East Carolina University and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

National Humanities Center

The National Humanities Center is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing humanities research and teaching and to encouraging appreciation for the humanities through public discourse and engagement. Through its residential fellowship program, the Center provides scholars with the resources necessary to generate new knowledge and further understanding of all forms of cultural expression, social interaction, and human thought. Through its education programs, the Center strengthens teaching on the collegiate and pre-collegiate levels. Through public engagement intimately linked to its scholarly and educational programs, the Center promotes understanding of the humanities and advocates for appreciation of their foundational role in a democratic society.
