Jerry Delaleu started their work experience in 1995 as an NCO in the United States Army, where they were responsible for equipment and supervised soldiers. Jerry then served in the United States Army Reserve as an NCO from 2001 to 2003. In 2003, they began working as a Footwear Designer at Kingo Shoes, specializing in goodyear-welted western boots. Jerry also worked as a Designer at Kingo Shoes Inc., PVO/Agent, where they provided design and development services to clients such as J. Crew and Kenneth Cole. From 2008 to 2014, they worked at Sears Holdings Management Corporation, designing footwear for the Men's category. In 2015, they became an Independent Business Owner at De La Sole (DLS) Footwear Design Consultancy, specializing in footwear design and development. Most recently, starting in 2022, they have been serving as the Chief Business Development Officer at the National Income Life Insurance Company.

Jerry Delaleu attended Kellenberg Memorial High School from 1991 to 1995. After completing high school, they pursued a degree in Fashion Marketing and Management at Berkeley College in NYC from 2006 to 2009, earning an Associate of Arts (AA) degree.
