Borbala Schenk currently serves as the Head of Department for International Affairs at the National Research Development and Innovation Office (NKFIH), focusing on the coordination of Hungary's participation in EU framework programmes and bilateral intergovernmental S&T cooperation. Previously, Borbala held the position of Chief European Research Funding Advisor at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, where grant advocacy and consortium building were key responsibilities. Involvement in professional networks includes being a Core Group Member of the Ethics and Research Integrity Officers Network (ERION) and serving on the Board of the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA) and its Policy and Representation Committee.
