Sandra Widland began their work experience in 2004 as a Program Manager at the American Lung Association in California. From 2005 to 2007, they also worked as a Faculty (Adjunct) at California State University, Los Angeles. In 2012, Widland joined MIT as a Special Projects Manager, a role they held until 2017. Currently, they work as a Project Director at NICHQ, starting from June 2017.
Sandra Widland began their education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1988. Sandra studied there for four years and obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Exercise Physiology in 1992. After gaining practical experience in the field, Sandra decided to further their knowledge in the healthcare sector and pursue a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree. In 2007, they enrolled at The George Washington University and completed their studies in 2008, specializing in Public Health.
