Joy Allen

Joy Allen is an experienced professional within the healthcare and academic sectors, currently serving as a Diagnostics Advisory Committee Member at the NICE, a role held since March 2022. Since August 2021, Joy has been the Health Economics Manager at Roche Diagnostics UK & Ireland. Prior positions include Principal Research Associate and Senior Diagnostics Evaluation Methodologist at the NIHR Newcastle In Vitro Diagnostics Co-operative, as well as serving in various capacities related to IVD evaluation from 2014 to 2021. Joy's academic foundations include a postdoctoral research associate role focusing on Quantum Turbulence at Newcastle University and a PhD in Applied Mathematics from The Queen's University Belfast.
