Jian Gao

Senior Research Engineer at National Institute of Aerospace

Jian Gao is a Senior Research Engineer at the National Institute of Aerospace, with experience in investigating instrumentation for various gaseous flow systems at NASA Langley. Prior to this, Jian was the Target and Beam Dump Systems Group Leader at the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams, where Jian led technical aspects of target systems. Additionally, Jian worked on the development of a lithium stripper project as a Physicist and conducted R&D on a helium gas charge stripper with plasma window as a Research Associate. Jian holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Mechanics from Hohai University.
