Ed Cornforth

Edmund Cornforth is an experienced economist currently working at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR) since August 2022. Prior to this role, Edmund served as a Procurement Officer at Transport for Greater Manchester from August 2018 to September 2021, and worked as a Buyer for BMW Group from October 2016 to October 2017, where responsibilities included procurement of various indirect services and equipment. In academia, Edmund held leadership positions at the University of Bath, managing the budget as Treasurer for the Latin and Ballroom Dance Society and overseeing publicity campaigns as Publicity Officer for the Model United Nations Society. Edmund holds a Master of Science in Money, Banking, and Finance from the University of Exeter and a Bachelor of Science in Politics with Economics from the University of Bath. Educational background also includes attendance at Abingdon School from 2009 to 2014.
