Bill Goldner is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in renewable energy, natural resources, and environmental science. Currently serving as Senior Advisor for the USDA Office of the Chief Scientist since September 2019, Goldner has been a National Program Leader for Biomass Development and Production Systems at the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture since November 1999, where Bill also acted as Division Director for the Division of Sustainable Bioenergy. Previous roles include Technical Strategy Manager for Applied Genetics at American Cyanamid Company and Associate Professor in the Graduate Program in Plant Biology at Rutgers University. Goldner began his career as a Research Scientist and Project Manager at Union Camp Corporation. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Plant Biochemistry and Plant Breeding from Penn State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Botany/Plant Biology from Hiram College.
