Ved Kafle

Ved Kafle is a seasoned Research Manager at the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), with a focus on advanced communication networks, including network architecture, control automation utilizing machine learning and AI, and satellite-terrestrial network integration. Since joining NICT in October 2006, Ved has managed various research projects, authored papers for prestigious conferences and journals, and contributed to standardization efforts as a Rapporteur of ITU-T Study Group 13. In addition to roles at NICT, Ved has served as a part-time lecturer at Waseda University since August 2023, and previously held a visiting associate professor position at The University of Electro-Communications from 2013 to 2023. Ved’s academic background includes a Master of Science from Seoul National University, a PhD in Informatics from SOKENDAI, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Punjab Engineering College.
