Sharon E. Nelson

Sharon E. Nelson is an accomplished professional with diverse experience in resource development, strategic communications, and community engagement. Currently serving as the Director of Resource Development at the National Institute of Minority Economic Development, Sharon also operates as the President and Sole Proprietor of a consulting firm that specializes in resilience and storytelling to enhance consumer engagement. Prior roles include Manager of Strategic Communications at Kybele Worldwide, Grant Coordinator at Piedmont Triad Regional Council, and various positions at Novant Health focused on community partnerships and health humanities. Sharon holds both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Appalachian State University.
