Teresa King

Teresa King is the senior vice president and chief claims officer for Encova Insurance with 39 years of multiline claims experience. She oversees all property and casualty claims operations across 28 states. She joined the NICB Board of Governors in 2021.

Ms. King started her career as a claims adjuster for Encova (formerly Motorists Insurance Group) and has served in many leadership positions since then. She is an active member of the community serving on the board of directors for the New Directions Career Center and chairs their Fund Development Committee and chairs the annual primary fundraising committee for Women of Promise. Ms. King received her Bachelor of Science in education, majoring in English and physical education from Indiana University. She holds industry designations of Associate in Claims (AIC) and as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).
