Thomas Barker

Director Health Initiatives at National Jewish Health, Inc.

Thomas Barker has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Thomas began their career as a Tank Platoon Leader and Battalion Signal Officer in the United States Army, where they were responsible for ensuring reliable voice and data communications. After their military service, Thomas worked at US West as a Supervisor of Network Operations, overseeing the surveillance and repair of various equipment and provisioning voice and data services. Thomas later joined CenturyLink, where they held multiple roles, including Director of Customer Assurance and Managed Services, Manager of Network Operations, and Supervisor of Network Operations. In these positions, Thomas managed teams, implemented processes to improve operational efficiency, and ensured customer satisfaction. Thomas then joined Comcast Business Enterprise as the Director of Enterprise Managed Services, where they were responsible for installation and post-installation support for enterprise customers. Lastly, Thomas is currently working at National Jewish Health as the Director of Health Initiatives, overseeing the operational aspects of the QuitLine program. Throughout their career, Thomas has demonstrated strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Thomas Barker obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1994. Thomas later pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix-Colorado Campus, completing it in 2001.
