Jaclyn Ellis, MA, CHES, is an experienced communications and health education professional currently serving as Associate Communications Manager at the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan since June 2017. In this role, Jaclyn has supported statewide digital campaigns focused on chronic kidney disease awareness and collaborated with program departments on media and communications for grant execution. Previous positions include Senior Communications Coordinator, Senior Program Coordinator, and Program Coordinator, where accomplishments involved leading health education programming and implementing nutrition initiatives. Earlier experience includes roles at Ann Arbor YMCA as Healthy Heart Ambassador and Community Outreach Site Supervisor, and an internship with the Greater Detroit Area Health Council, where Jaclyn contributed to wellness program development. Jaclyn holds a Master of Arts in Health Communication from Washington State University and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Eastern Michigan University.

Since 1955, the NKF of Michigan, Inc. (NKFM) has led the fight against life-threatening chronic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and kidney disease. We have enhanced the lives of many Michigan residents through our prevention programs and patient services. Our efforts have also changed legislation, ensured quality care for patients and advanced medical knowledge. We have informed the public about kidney and urological diseases and increased awareness of the critical need for organ and tissue donations. The mission of the NKFM is prevent kidney disease and improve the quality of life for those living with it.
