Jayna Schmid is a seasoned professional with diverse experience in administrative and marketing roles. Currently serving as a Data Coordinator Assistant at the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan since December 2021, Jayna has previously worked as an Optician at Dexter Family Eye Center and held various positions in the arts sector, including Development Specialist at Haiti Nursing Foundation and Development Operations Assistant at The Public Theater. Jayna’s marketing expertise was honed as a Marketing Resident at The Public Theater and as a Marketing Assistant at Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts. Earlier career experiences include roles such as Office Manager at Youth INC NYC and Administrative Assistant at Stout Risius Ross. Jayna holds a Master’s Degree in Performing Arts Management from Brooklyn College and a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre from Siena Heights University.

Since 1955, the NKF of Michigan, Inc. (NKFM) has led the fight against life-threatening chronic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and kidney disease. We have enhanced the lives of many Michigan residents through our prevention programs and patient services. Our efforts have also changed legislation, ensured quality care for patients and advanced medical knowledge. We have informed the public about kidney and urological diseases and increased awareness of the critical need for organ and tissue donations. The mission of the NKFM is prevent kidney disease and improve the quality of life for those living with it.
