Carmel Jones is an experienced marketing and communications professional currently serving as Program Director for Marketing and Communications at the National League of Cities since January 2022, after previously holding the position of Marketing and Communications Manager focusing on member and partner engagement. Prior to this role, Carmel worked at Corvias from September 2015 to January 2022 as a Marketing Specialist, where responsibilities included developing marketing strategies and creating persuasive content across various platforms, and managing digital outreach for the Corvias/Prince George's County Clean Water Partnership. Earlier experience includes finance management at Dimensions Healthcare System and providing operational support at the National Alliance of Forest Owners (NAFO). Carmel holds a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from Howard University and a Master's Degree in Organizational Communications from Bowie State University.
