Hardie Davis

Hardie Davis is the current director at the National League of Cities. Prior to that, they served as a senator for the 22nd district in Georgia from January 2010 to December 2015. In this role, they chaired the GA Senate's Interstate Cooperation Committee and was an active member of the Economic Development, Ethics, Finance, and Higher Education State Senate Committees. Hardie also contributed to developing and approving the $21B State of Georgia budget. Additionally, they played a pivotal role in passing 1,500+ pieces of legislation which are now law in Georgia. Hardie acted as sponsor for HB500, the Employment Readiness Program for Georgia's Unemployed Act, which prevented 22K+ Georgians from losing unemployment benefits, totaling over $176MM from the federal government.

Prior to their role as senator, Davis served as state representative for the 122nd district in the Georgia General Assembly House of Representatives from January 2007 to December 2010.

Before their career in politics, Davis worked as a lead process control engineer at Monsanto from January 1998 to December 2005 and as a systems engineer at SAIC from January 1993 to December 1998.
