Collection Head, Gershom Scholem Collection For Kabbalah Research, Judaica Reference Librarian at National Library of Israel

Zvi Leshem is the Collection Head of the Gershom Scholem Collection for Kabbalah Research and a Judaica Reference Librarian at the National Library of Israel since July 2011, with responsibilities including collection development, reference services, staff management, and policy on digitization. Zvi served as Congregational Rabbi at Shirat Shlomo Congregation from 2001 to 2013, where teaching and providing Jewish legal guidance were key duties. Additionally, Zvi was Rabbi of the Anglo Student Community at Bar-Ilan University from 2008 to 2011, engaging with English-speaking students through classes and community events. Zvi held the position of Associate Dean and Director of Overseas Programs at Nishmat from 1990 to 2009, overseeing educational initiatives and faculty recruitment. Academic credentials include a PhD in Jewish Philosophy from Bar-Ilan University and multiple degrees in Jewish Studies from institutions such as Touro University and Columbia University.
