Chris Bruen

Senior Director, Research at National Multifamily Housing Council

Chris Bruen has extensive work experience in research and analysis, holding various positions in the National Multifamily Housing Council from 2014 to the present. Chris started as a Volunteer Tutor at SOME (So Others Might Eat) in 2009 and also worked as a Writer/Editor at 21st Century Media in 2012. Additionally, Chris worked as a Business Analyst at You Rock Media Group from 2008 to 2010 and served as an Assistant to Bob Sui, CFO at Anna Sui in 2009. In 2011, they worked independently as a Business & Economic Consultant, teaching Chinese employees from companies like China Construction Bank, Cisco, and Kraft Foods Inc. Chris also gained research experience as a Research Assistant for Arthur Wilson, Ph.D. from 2013 to 2015.

Chris Bruen completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Applied Economics from The Johns Hopkins University from 2019 to 2022. Prior to that, from 2007 to 2011, they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree from The George Washington University School of Business, with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Economics. In 2012 and 2013, Chris studied Mandarin Language at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. In 2009, they also attended Bond University, where they focused on International Business.
