John Paul Janke currently serves as the National Indigenous Affairs Editor for SBS and NITV and is Co-Chair of the National Basketball League (NBL) RAP Working Group. Since May 2019, Janke has been the Deputy Chair of the Indigenous Reference Group at the National Museum of Australia, where the group provides expert Indigenous advice on matters concerning Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Janke is also a Co-Host of "The Point" on NITV, delivering in-depth analysis and interviews on cultural, political, and social issues. Other notable roles include Director of Communications at Rork Projects, Co-Chair of the National NAIDOC Committee, Ambassador for the Mayi Kuwayu Study, and various positions at the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies and New South Wales Aboriginal Land Council. Janke completed education at Marist College Canberra from 1977 to 1985.
