Helen Wyld is a seasoned expert in the field of historic textiles and curatorial practices, currently serving as Senior Curator of Historic Textiles at National Museums Scotland since March 2017. Prior to this role, Helen held positions including Curator at the National Trust for Scotland and Senior Fellow in European Sculpture and Decorative Arts at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Experience also includes academic roles as a Lecturer at the University of Bern and the University of Leeds, alongside curatorial positions at the National Trust and National Portrait Gallery. Helen Wyld earned a Master of Arts degree from The Courtauld Institute of Art in 2004.
