Karen Hawks

Karen Hawks is a seasoned professional in the field of chemistry and quality assurance, currently serving as Quality Assurance Manager at National Nonwovens since May 2016, where expertise is applied in the development and manufacture of nonwovens for various industries, including aerospace and medical. Prior to this role, Hawks held positions at Contest Analytical Labs from July 2005 to September 2015, initially as Senior Chemist focusing on ICPMS and ICP analysis, and later as Metals Supervisor, overseeing a team for metals analysis of environmental samples. Earlier experience includes a role at Ciba Specialty Chemicals from 1996 to 2005 as Technical and Analytical Support Chemist, contributing to the startup of an Acrylamide plant and the construction of a polyacrylate plant. Hawks earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, complementing a foundational education obtained at Agawam High School.
