Anne Witherup

Anne Witherup is an accomplished attorney specializing in natural resources law, currently serving as the Attorney-Advisor General Counsel at NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration since July 2020. Previously, Anne held the position of Staff Attorney at the Southwest Florida Water Management District from August 2018 to July 2020 and served as an Assistant Attorney General at the Florida Office of the Attorney General from 2015 to 2018. Anne's early experience includes a Fall Fellowship at Sustain Charlotte in 2013 and a legal internship with the US Environmental Protection Agency in 2012. Anne holds a Juris Doctor and a Masters in Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law and Graduate School (2011-2013) and both a Bachelor of Social Work and a Master of Social Work from Florida State University (2002-2007).
