Responsibilities have included strategic advisory roles, management of hydrographic survey vessels, and oversight of specialized teams to ensure quality and efficiency in ocean mapping projects. Ben holds a BA in Physics from Williams College, an Ocean Engineer degree from Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, and an Engineer's degree in Ocean Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
