Jessica Morten

Jessica Morten is an experienced marine resource protection professional currently serving as the Director of Marine Resource Protection at the California Marine Sanctuary Foundation since April 2017. Morten has also held various positions within NOAA, focusing on resource protection as an affiliate with multiple national marine sanctuaries. Additional experiences include serving as a CA Sea Grant Fellow at the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary and as a Resource Protection Specialist for the Greater Farallones Association. Morten has a strong educational background with a Master of Arts in International Environmental Policy from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Skidmore College. The breadth of experience spans marine conservation, legislative research, and GIS teaching assistance.
