Kathryn Ford serves as the Division Director for the Population and Ecosystems Monitoring and Analysis Division at NOAA since May 2021. Concurrently, Kathryn has been an Adjunct Professor at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth since January 2014, teaching Geographic Information Systems (ArcGIS Pro) courses. Previously, Kathryn held various roles at the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries from July 2005 to May 2021, including Habitat Program Manager and Environmental Analyst, overseeing a team that conducted extensive environmental reviews and research. Kathryn's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Oceanography from the University of Rhode Island and a Bachelor of Science in Geology-Biology from the University of Rochester. Early career experience includes a postdoctoral position at the University of Rhode Island Graduate School of Oceanography and marine research activities in the Bahamas.
