Maike Sonnewald

Maike Sonnewald is an academic professional currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of California, Davis since July 2023. In addition, Maike holds the position of Associate Research Scholar at Princeton University and has served as a Research Affiliate with the NOAA since February 2020. As an Affiliate Professor at the University of Washington, Maike contributes to interdisciplinary research. A recent appointment as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Université catholique de Louvain occurred in November 2023. Previous experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Associate role at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from June 2016 to February 2020 and various visiting scientist positions at Harvard University and Université Grenoble Alpes. Maike Sonnewald earned a PhD in Complex Systems from the University of Southampton.
