Sean Digre

Sean Digre is an experienced professional currently serving as the Acting Manager of the NOAA Diving Center at NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration since July 2016, overseeing personnel and diving operations. Previously, Sean held roles such as Training Specialist and NOAA Diving Center Operations Officer, as well as Navigation Officer on the NOAA Ship Bell M. Shimada. Sean's background includes significant military experience as a Special Forces Senior Medical Sergeant in the US Army, where responsibilities encompassed emergency medical care in special operations. Additional experience includes positions as a Pipefitter at Pribuss Engineering, Crane Operator in the United States Army Reserve, and Metal Worker, complemented by a Bachelor’s Degree in Oceanography from the University of Washington and various relevant training programs.
