Suzi Webster

Suzi Webster, PhD, serves as the Acting Director of Public Affairs at the U.S. Economic Development Administration, responsible for leading the Public Affairs Division and enhancing communications strategies. Concurrently, Suzi is a participant in NOAA's Leadership Competencies Development Program, enhancing leadership skills for future roles within the agency. Previous positions at NOAA include Strategic Communications Manager and Communications Specialist, where responsibilities encompassed crafting organizational messaging and developing communication strategies for public-private partnerships. Suzi’s extensive experience includes a PhD in Environment and Society from the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, with a focus on stakeholder engagement in environmental management. Additional roles have included research and communication positions at various institutions, including the Marine Biological Laboratory and University of Notre Dame.
