Yi Hong

Yi Hong serves as an Assistant Research Scientist at the University of Michigan and as a Water Resources Engineer/Scientist at NOAA since September 2019. Prior experience includes a tenure as a Researcher at Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées from October 2013 to September 2019, where notable projects included leading a €200k initiative for a real-time bathing water quality system in Paris and securing funding for an international program while coordinating multiple research labs. Yi Hong also has experience as a Communications Officer at SIAAP and agence de l'eau Adour Garonne, as well as R&D Engineer at La fondation de coopération scientifique STAE. Educational achievements include a PhD in Environmental Engineering Technology from Ecole nationale des ponts et chaussées and multiple master's degrees in Biostatistics, Environmental Modeling, GIS, Computer Science, and a Bachelor's in Environmental Science from Wuhan University.
