Jayson Owens

Jayson Owens, CFP®, has a well-rounded work experience in various fields. Jayson started their career in 2005 as the Operations Manager and Treasurer at Edgeworks Climbing, where they worked on budgeting, strategy, and operational procedures to ensure company growth. Jayson also oversaw staff management and directed the work of multiple managers. In 2008, Jayson became a Lead Instructor at NOLS Wilderness Medicine, teaching Wilderness First Aid and CPR courses. Since 2016, they have been a Financial Planner, CFP® at Bright Road Wealth Management, an independent, fee-only Registered Investment Advisor. As the owner since 2021, Jayson advocates for their clients' financial well-being and does not receive any commissions or fees from recommended investments.

Jayson Owens, CFP®, has a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree in Architecture from Texas A&M University, which they earned from 1993 to 1997. In 2001, they completed the Wisdom Unlimited Course at Landmark. In 2013, Jayson obtained the Single Pitch Instructor certification from the American Mountain Guides Association. Jayson then went on to complete the CFP® Professional Education Program from the College for Financial Planning between 2013 and 2015. Jayson became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional in May 2018, certified by the CFP Board. Jayson also holds a Wilderness First Responder certification from the NOLS Wilderness Medicine Institute (WMI), obtained in 2005.
