Linnea van Den Toorn

Linnea (PeeBee) van den Toorn is an Education Specialist at the University of California, UCANR, overseeing volunteers and county-wide youth development programs since August 2019. With extensive experience as a Custom Education Consultant for NOLS since 2000, Linnea has facilitated leadership trainings for corporate clients, including Google and Salesforce, and led risk management trainings for numerous organizations. Linnea possesses a strong background in wilderness education, having served as a Senior Faculty member at NOLS, and as a Wilderness Medicine Instructor since 2007. Previous roles include Global Health and Safety Director at Global Citizen Year, Ranch Manager at Three Peaks Ranch, and volunteer in the Peace Corps. Linnea holds a degree in International Policy Studies from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies and a Bachelor’s in History from the University of California, Davis.
