Shannon Hagen

Wilderness Medicine Instructor at NATIONAL OUTDOOR LEADERSHIP SCHOOL

Shannon Hagen is a dedicated Science Educator at The Beautiful Nation Project since May 2013, where innovative STEMx education is integrated with global exploration through the Voyage of Makulu. In addition to this role, Shannon has served as a Ski Patroller at Crystal Mountain Ski Area since October 2008, focusing on avalanche control and emergency medical responses. As a Wilderness Medicine Instructor with the NOLS Wilderness Medicine Institute since April 2007, Shannon provides practical training for medical emergencies in remote settings. Shannon's background also includes research on native salmon populations with the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife from June 2005 to October 2013 and aquatic resource research at Mount Rainier National Park from June 2010 to October 2011. Shannon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Ecology from The Evergreen State College.
