Jerry Hightower

Park Ranger, Environmental Education Coordinator at National Park Service

Jerry Hightower has dedicated over four decades to environmental education and conservation, serving as a Park Ranger and Environmental Education Coordinator for the National Park Service since May 1978. In this role, Jerry has excelled as a Naturalist, River Guide, and Natural History Discovery Trip Leader, while also earning certification as an NAI Certified Interpretive Guide and Environmental Education Trainer. Jerry has facilitated numerous environmental education programs, including Project Learning Tree, Project WILD, Project WET, and Wonders of Wetlands. Prior to this, Jerry held volunteer leadership roles with the Georgia Wildlife Federation from 1972 to 1985, including Conservation Education Chairperson, Conservation Chairperson, and Seventh District Vice President.
