Michelle Edwards

Michelle Edwards, PhD, has extensive experience in the fields of sales marketing, educational programming, and museum management. Currently serving as the Sales Marketing Manager and Artist at Green Street Company since 2008, Michelle oversees marketing efforts for a family-owned business specializing in black Americana and folk art products. In addition, Michelle holds the position of Interpretation, Education & Community Engagement Programs Manager at Rock Creek Park, providing administrative management and direction for public programs and visitor services. Previous roles include Supervisory Volunteer and Docent Coordinator at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture, Docent Coordinator at the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art, and Assistant Site Manager for the Fairfax County Park Authority. Michelle's academic background includes a PhD in Anthropology, an MA in Historical Administration and Museum Studies, and a BA in African & African American Studies, Cultural Anthropology from the University of Kansas.
