Angélica Cruz-Sierra

Angélica Cruz-Sierra has a diverse range of work experience spanning various roles and industries. Angélica currently serves as the Deputy Director of Operations at the National Partnership for New Americans, overseeing day-to-day activities and driving operational excellence. Prior to this, they worked as the Operations Manager at the same organization, where they optimized operations and managed administrative systems related to finance, human resources, and office management. Angélica also worked as the Finance Manager at the National Partnership for New Americans.

In addition to their role at the National Partnership for New Americans, Angélica has experience as the Director of Operations and Development at the American Business Immigration Coalition (ABIC), where they led the organization in acquiring 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) status, secured funding through grant proposals, and established administrative systems for improved efficiency.

Before their work with the National Partnership for New Americans and ABIC, Angélica held positions at First Nonprofit as an Accounts Payable coordinator, where they managed payment processing and collaborated with the Controller during annual audits. Angélica also worked as an Intern at Amnesty International, where they translated marketing materials and recruited volunteers, and as an Administrative Assistant at Moore Construction, Inc, where they created proposals, managed bookkeeping, and provided customer service.

Angélica Cruz-Sierra obtained a Certification in Accounting from City Colleges of Chicago-Harold Washington College in 2021. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a double major in Spanish and English from the University of Illinois Chicago between 2006 and 2010. Additionally, they have obtained the Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional (CNAP) certification from BDO, although the specific month of attainment is unknown.
