Peter Deekle

Peter Deekle is a seasoned academic leader and library professional with extensive experience in higher education and community engagement. Currently serving as Community News Editor for the National Peace Corps Association since February 2016, Peter has a background that includes roles such as Dean of University Libraries and Associate Provost at Roger Williams University, where responsibilities encompassed library facilities planning, personnel supervision, and academic program initiatives. Additional leadership roles include Director of the University Honors Program, Vice Chair and Secretary of the HELIN Library Consortium, and Commissioner on the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. Peter's educational credentials include a Doctor of Education from Temple University, a Master's in Library and Information Science from Drexel University, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania.
