John Carli

John Carli is an experienced leader in law enforcement and public safety, currently serving as the Mayor of Vacaville since December 2022. With a background as Chief of Police for the Vacaville Police Department, Carli spent 32 years in public service, including 7 years as police chief, gaining national recognition for promoting officer safety and wellness. Carli holds the position of Lexipol Wellness Market Ambassador and serves as a Senior Associate Consultant at Citygate Associates, LLC, where expertise in government public safety policies is leveraged. Carli is also an Executive Fellow at the National Policing Institute, focused on advancing policing through innovation, and directs law enforcement services at the 10-33 Foundation, guiding resources for first responder wellness. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Strategic Leadership, a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice Management, and an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice.
