Bill Even has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Bill currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Pork Board, a position they have held since 2016. Secondly, as the Global Industry Relations Lead, they managed the corporate industry relations team, focusing on stakeholder relationships in biotechnology, product regulatory approvals, agricultural sustainability, biofuels, and farm policy.

Prior to their time at DuPont Pioneer, Bill held the position of Secretary of Agriculture for the State of South Dakota from 2007 to 2010. In this role, they led six divisions within the department and was responsible for setting the department's vision, goals, and legislative priorities.

Bill Even graduated from Drake University Law School with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Ag Food and Policy Law with High Honors from 2002 to 2005. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree with Highest Honors from South Dakota State University from 1999 to 2001, majoring in Agricultural Business with minors in Economics and Business. Bill also attended Lake Area Technical College from 1983 to 1985, where they earned an Associate's Degree in Agricultural Production and was on the Dean's List.
