Jamie Burr has had a diverse and extensive career in environmental and sustainability roles. They are currently the Chief Sustainability Officer at the National Pork Board since March 2023. Prior to this, Jamie worked at Tyson Foods for over two decades. Their roles at Tyson Foods included Director of Environmental, Director of Sustainability Implementation, Associate Director of Environmental Services, Senior Manager, Live Production EHS Manager, Live Production Environmental Manager, Area Environmental Manager, and Regional Environmental Manager. Throughout their various roles, Jamie led teams and implemented environmental compliance programs, managed environmental management systems, and ensured compliance with regulations.
Jamie Burr obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Soil Science and Agronomy from Missouri State University, which was completed between 1993 and 1997. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Soil Science at the same institution, which took place from 1997 to 1999.
