Susan R. Ashcom is an experienced educator and professional with a diverse background in teaching and business analysis. Currently a 6th Grade Teacher at National Presbyterian School since November 2020, Susan has also served as a teaching assistant for both 3rd and 6th grades. Previous teaching positions include history instructor roles at BASIS DC Public Charter School and Paul Public Charter School from 2015 to 2019, where Susan taught 12th Grade English, 11th Grade Creative Writing, and World History II. Before transitioning into education, Susan worked as an Account Manager at The Lansdale Group and held a Senior Business Analyst role there for over a decade, focusing on business requirements and IT management. Susan began their professional career as an Attorney at Fisher & Phillips LLP, providing legal counsel on compliance with anti-discrimination laws. Susan R. Ashcom holds a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in History from UNC Chapel Hill and a Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
